Due to popular demand, The Jonas Brothers have added a third night to their previously-announced return to New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The special performances will take place on Aug. 20, 21 and 22, reviving one of the defining moments of their career with a new event titled The Burning Up Tour All Over Again. The limited-run engagement celebrates the trio’s landmark 2008 Burning Up Tour, which helped establish Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas as one of pop music’s biggest touring acts.
Rather than recreating the original tour, the concerts are being presented as a celebration of the band’s nearly two decades of music, longtime fan support and career milestones since the ‘Burning Up’ era. The original tour coincided with the release of the group’s album A Little Bit Longer and the success of the Disney Channel film Camp Rock, both of which played key roles in their rise to international fame.
“When we looked at everything happening this summer, it felt like the right moment to celebrate one of the most exciting times of our lives,” the Jonas Brothers said in a statement. “The original Burning Up Tour was an exhilarating time in our lives, and getting the chance to relive that with the fans – while celebrating everything that’s happened since – means the world to us. We can’t wait to run it back.”
The announcement comes during a milestone period for the group. Camp Rock 3 is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel on Aug. 13, and the brothers are set to be inducted as ‘Disney Legends’ on Aug. 16, recognizing their impact on music, television and film. The Madison Square Garden performances will follow those celebrations, adding another chapter to a summer that highlights the band’s enduring legacy.
