Tyla has released her new single, “Is It Love,” a preview of her forthcoming second studio album, APOP*, scheduled for release on July 24. The track arrives alongside the official music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, in which Tyla dances in a dissolving apartment, and is watched from the window by a love interest.
“Is It Love” serves as the opening track from APOP*, an album Tyla, 24, has described as a fresh creative chapter. Speaking previously about the project, Tyla said, “I feel like I just did something really fresh,” while emphasizing that the album represents her current artistic identity and growth.
The Grammy-winning artist revealed earlier this year that the project reflects a more confident and mature perspective, developed after the whirlwind success of her self-titled 2024 debut. “Is It Love” also follows a string of releases that have sustained momentum ahead of the album, including “Chanel” and “She Did It Again,” a collaboration with Zara Larsson.
With “Is It Love” now available, attention turns to the full release of APOP*, which is expected to showcase the next phase of Tyla’s evolving sound and further establish her presence on the global pop stage.
