Gracie Abrams has earned her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as her third studio release, “Daughter From Hell,” debuts atop the chart dated Aug. 1. The album generated 124,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending July 23, according to Luminate, marking the singer-songwriter’s strongest week by overall consumption.
Reacting to the chart milestone on social media, Abrams wrote, “Whoa thank you so much this is nuts and entirely your doing!!! Thank you.” The accomplishment comes as she prepares to launch her 64-date “Look at My Life” international arena tour later this year.
The opening surpassed the performance of Abrams’ 2024 album, “The Secret of Us,” which debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 89,000 units. Its deluxe edition later produced “That’s So True,” Abrams’ first top-10 single on the Billboard Hot 100. With the new achievement, Abrams became the sixth act to secure a first Billboard 200 leader in 2026.
Traditional album sales accounted for 77,000 units of “Daughter From Hell,” while streaming contributed 46,500 units, representing approximately 47.27 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. The release was supported by multiple physical and digital editions, including several vinyl, CD and cassette variants.
Abrams announced ‘Daughter From Hell’ in May and previewed it with the singles “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life.” The 16-track project was produced by Aaron Dessner, who also worked on Abrams’ previous albums, and includes contributions from Justin Vernon, Audrey Hobert and Paul Mescal, who co-wrote “Imaginary Friend.” Stream the album: HERE.
