Machine Gun Kelly will return to his hometown of Cleveland this summer for the 2026 edition of ‘MGK Day,’ with longtime friend and collaborator Wiz Khalifa joining him as the event’s co-headliner. The annual city-backed celebration is scheduled for Aug. 7-8 and will conclude with the MGK Day Art + Community Festival at North Coast Yard on Aug. 8, where the pair will perform after a full day of music, community activities and local programming.
The two-day event will once again spotlight music, art and community engagement while celebrating the city that helped shape MGK’s career. Festivities begin Aug. 7 with the Red Bull Best Trick Contest at Crooked River Skatepark, featuring skateboarding, live music, food trucks and vendors. On Aug. 8, activities include the annual Harley-Davidson City Ride, an early tailgate and the festival itself, which will also feature local artists, community organizations, food vendors and a fireworks display. Organizers said the official 2026 event poster was created by acclaimed artist Mike Giant.
MGK Day has grown steadily since Cleveland officially proclaimed Aug. 13 as “MGK Day” in 2023 following the artist’s record-setting 2022 hometown stadium concert, which drew more than 50,000 fans. Beyond entertainment, the annual celebration continues to emphasize charitable and community-focused initiatives through partnerships supporting underserved youth and local families, reflecting MGK’s ongoing investment in his hometown.
The announcement extends a busy year for MGK and Khalifa, who have been touring together on MGK’s Lost Americana Tour. The artists also recently reunited for the collaborative mixtape ‘blog era boyz,’ marking their first full-length project together and revisiting a creative partnership that dates back more than a decade.
Tickets and additional event information are now available through the festival’s official website.
