Amazon Music will once again bring the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival to viewers around the world with a free livestream from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, giving fans access to select performances throughout the Aug. 7-9 event.
The broadcast will be available through the Amazon Music app, Prime Video, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, Fire TV and Samsung TV Plus, marking the fourth consecutive year Amazon Music has partnered with the festival to stream the event. This year’s production introduces two simultaneous livestream channels, allowing viewers to switch between performances and reducing scheduling conflicts as artists perform across the festival’s multiple stages. Streaming is scheduled to begin daily in the afternoon Pacific time, although organizers noted that performance times and featured artists remain subject to change. The 18th edition of Outside Lands is headlined by Charli XCX, The Strokes and RÜFÜS DU SOL, with additional streamed performances expected from artists including The xx, Baby Keem, Turnstile, Death Cab for Cutie, Empire of the Sun, Lucy Dacus, Labrinth, Djo, Modest Mouse and PinkPantheress. One of the weekend’s most anticipated moments will see Death Cab for Cutie perform two sets on Sunday, including a complete performance of its acclaimed 2005 album “Plans.” Festival organizers have also announced surprise performances, including a DJ set from Bay Area artist Tycho.
Outside Lands remains one of the country’s premier music festivals, blending major musical performances with food, art and Bay Area culture across Golden Gate Park. Although general admission and VIP passes have sold out, the expanded livestream gives fans worldwide an opportunity to experience much of the festival without traveling to San Francisco.
